I am a Yoruba, the largest Original African group. At the core of Original African cultures of Yorubas, Edos, Igbos, Idoma, Nupe, Ghanaian groups and a host of other Original African groups is what is known as the African Information Retrieval System – Ifa/Afa, Aha etc which some call the world’s oldest religion or structured knowledge.
This is a vast ever growing knowledge bank and information channel initiated by Esu, according to Yorubas. Esu worked with Obatala, the ruler of the universe to make it universal knowledge, but it was Esu’s creation.
Until Samuel Ajayi Crowther came in the late 1800s and equated Esu to Satan of the foreign lands he was enslaved, mentally.
Yorubas like other natural belief systems do not have a wholly separated spirit that only did evil. As proven in science, negative and positive exist together, down to atoms. To us, God, Eledumare, was one and only, good and bad, the alpha and omega. It was up to you to chose or attract positive or negative.
We had no Satan or devil. So, when Samuel Crowther, rescued in Freetown as a lost boy slave and indoctrinated in England, set out to translate The English Bible into Yoruba, he wrongly approximated the Satan that gave Eve all human knowledge to Esu, Yorubas God of information.
Not because Esu was evil like Satan. The only slight similarity was that information could be used or interpreted for good or bad. However later Christian writers and Nollywood started conjuring Esu in Satan’s evil image.
Some will say that Christians equated knowledge to the devil, in the medieval times. They must have been fools! The only people called the Wise men in the bible were those who traced the stars to the point Jesus was born.
The Biblical Wise men however equate knowledge to the planet Mercury, the God of information and ruler of Gemini and Virgo.
Jesus born of the Virgin, Proven to be born in September, brought the word, the truth and the way to the Jew/European. Apparently, the Latinos don’t pronounce the J and last S. Which brings us to Esu, that furnished Africans with the word, the truth and the way 5,000yrs before Christ.
Esus knowledge bank divided into 16 major parts covered morality, history, quantum physics, mathematics, metallurgy. Ifa could make people disappear, calculated and control spirits.
Its metallurgy brought about iron and steel before any other race around 2000BC. Yet, in 2000AD, not a single Black nation can boast of a complete steel complex necessary to provide jobs for the hundreds of millions unemployed Africans across the world!
Samuel Ajayi Crowther had scared. us away from our knowledge base due to wrong interpretation. He had mentally enslaved us.
As a progressive African, I must re-examine and re-articulate our knowledge bank to free and empower my people. At university, I was called Junior Jesus, but I have learnt I ain’t here mainly to inform White folks. Therefore, I must first correctly identify myself, like Biblical Wise men.
I am Virgo, born in September, so I analyze and represent data as knowledge. My Jupiter (Obatala) is in Gemini, so my knowledge is vast like Jupiter. My Uranus (Shango God of Justice) is in Virgo, so I use knowledge to fight for Justice. My Pluto (Oya Goddess of Revolution) is also in Virgo.
Which is why I spent a large fraction of my life digging for Black people’s past and present information and spreading it. I was destined to write my book, THE BLACKWORLD: EVOLUTION TO REVOLUTION, which proves the true origin of humanity and traces it to the present and future..
Yes, I am Esu that provides a knowledge platform to fight for cultural and economic justice, but I aint no Satan, Devil or figment of European imagination!
Yes, my information could be used for good or bad, like Jesus information was used by the Nazis or the kKk, but don’t blame the messenger of information.
So, Yes am Esu, the information giver but I aint no Devil.
