Mainstream histories and myths claim that IGBOS came from Egypt, settled in Igala land and then moved to present location.
However DNA evidence shows that the Igbos and Igala diverged from Yorubas and other groups on the Western side of Niger. Human beings evolved in the forest between IFE, Lagos and Benin triangle.
Just like the Yorubas that wrongly claim they come from the Middle East through Lamurudu and Oduduwa, who have been dated no earlier than 1000AD while evidence shows that Yorubas had been living in southwest Nigeria for at least 10,000BC. This where they became the epicenter of sickle cell.
Hausa also wrongly claim they came from Baghdad created in 850BC while there is evidence of them living there for thousands of years.
Throughout Africa, creation stories are linked to the ruling elite and not the people. Oduduwa created the current 1000yrs old Oba kingship dynasty across Yorubaland but are not the begin of time.
Instead of the defeatist White supremacy dogma, Original Africans migrated out of West Africa to build Egypt, Sumner, IVC and South China civilizations.
Yep a few of us returned from the distant lands to impact us here, but the Original African heartland has always been and will always be here in Nigeria.
