The 256 pulses of Ifa-Afa-Iha-Eha-Fa was refined to create the first computer. Its knowledge base was so advanced that technology inventors adopted its 256 dimensional structure for the 256-bit motherboard in computers.

While the rest of the world, especially Eurasians and Afroasians, continue to glean from Yoruba intellectual foundations to evolve their civilizations, Yorubas continue to ignore their intellectual foundations and feed on the regurgitated tenets of its own knowledge base from outsiders.

Apart from computer technology and electromagnetism that came from Ifa, Yoruba intellectual foundations covers mathematics, philosophy, medicine, quantum physics, medicine, metallurgy, politics and every other subject.

I have written about how Orishas don’t only represent spiritual entities, but also philosophical and material meanings. Shangos for Justice, Esu for information, Oya for revolutionary change, Osun for love and fertility, Olokun for movies and make believe, Babaluaye for structure and career etc.

These Orisha concepts cover fully developed philosophies which could easily be used to increase our collective intelligence.

The Odus also represent deep philosophical meanings, in addition to the mere divination that we are fed by Nollywood. A Jewish scholar, Tony Smith, broke down the meanings of Yoruba interpretation of the sixteen Odus as follows. The number before each odu represents the binary number corresponding to the pattern:

0 Ogbe: Light, birth of Orunmila (wisdom)

1 Osa: Overcome fear

2 Otura: Govern wisely

3 Owonrin: Weather storms

4 Irete: If you refuse to sacrifice something, you might lose it anyway

5 Ofun: Olodumare creates earth, the sixteen odus, orishas, and humans

6 Edi: Watch out for obstacles

7 Okanran: Follow plans

8 Ogunda: Ogun, use technology wisely

9 Iwori: Ask diviner for advice

10 Ose: Truth protects good, destroys evil

11 Oturopon: Raise children well

12 Irosun: Crouch, wait, and plan

13 Ika: You reap what you sow

14 Obara: Cooperate, each hand washes the other

15 Oyeku: Dark, Olodumare’s earthly creations

If only our children start their education with the meanings of the first 16 out of 256, and not A for Apple and B for ball, we would have a highly moral and philosophical youth capable of taking up any course of study.

However, our mental slavery makes us discard the philosophical and scientific foundations of Ifa and only concentrate on its spiritual content.

Its intelligent outline of knowledge transferred across the world to aid in developing other divination systems and lines of study. Ifa was advanced enough to postulate abstract structures of the natural world, including elementary particle physics, cosmology, quantum consciousness and physics, voodoo physics, and maths.

Ifa was transferred to Mesopotamia where it became the basis of Western astrology. Also, Ifa transferred to the Indus Valley 5,300 years ago, and from it, latter day Indians established Buddhism.

The African Information Retrieval System introduced to South China was also fundamental to the creation of I Ching with sixty-four dimensions or outcomes. It also helped the tarot system of seventy-eight outcomes.

Ifa was brought to the Arabs by Prophet Idris and was called ilm al-raml (‘science of the sand’) or khatt al-raml (‘lines in the sand’). The divination involved calculating outcomes in the sand poured onto the divination board.

Unfortunately, Yorubas and all Original Africans who developed the foundations of human civilization continue to neglect it for its revised editions by outsiders. Therefore our mental and cultural slavery has kept us rooted to the lowest rungs of human civilization.

It was this Original African cultural sphere that spread to Gambia and South Africa that enabled us to trade and relate across huge areas.

Following 300 yrs of trans Atlantic slavery enabled by the gun and not their advanced thinking, Europeans broke up and converted our cultural sphere into their own through colonization and the institutionalization of the concept of nation-states.

The 1804 Haitian revolution and creation of the first modern Black nation in the Americas led to the 1815 Treaty of Paris that cemented nation-state interests. In 1817, the French became the first Europeans to hoist their flag in Senegambia and later Dahomey due to the loss of Haiti that used to provide over 40% of its exports. Other Europeans followed suit on the quest for raw materials and markets.

The division of Original African cultural and economic spheres was formalized with the 1880 Berlin Conference on the Scramble for Africa, which resulted in Africans divided into constricting colonies defined mainly by English and French cultural, political and economic spheres that exist until today.

At the Black African heartland named Nigeria, they broke it into two Protectorates, North and South. North for Afroasians and South for Original Africans, but mischievously added the current Middlebelt composed of Original Africans to the Northern Caliphate Protectorate to give it a population advantage over the South.

To make things worse for Original Africans, in 1935 the British broke the single Original African cultural sphere, the Southern Protectorate into two, East and West regions to inspire divisive competition and hatred between Yorubas, Igbos and other Original Africans. Then set out to miseducate them to forget their genetic and cultural identity and linkages by teaching Yorubas they came from Mecca, Igbos came from Jews, Jukun from Yemen, therefore destroying chances of cultural unity.

Outside Nigeria, Original Africans that used to trade unhindered from Gambia to South Africa were now constricted to trade along European lines, whereby Yorubas in British Nigeria have to go through Paris for major deals with Yorubas in next door Benin Republic.

Unfortunately in response to the cultural disorientation that resulted in the arrested political and economic development of Original Africans, instead of advocating for the reinstatement of the Original African sphere, Eurocentric perspectives can only prescribe further constriction by advocating separatist movements like Odua and Biafra, whose cultural and political sphere will be dictated by those who supply the weapons of their pseudo independence, like the British did in Spanish South American colonies of Paraguay, Uruguay and Brazil.

What is required for the true freedom and rise of the Black Race is for Yorubas, Igbos and other Original African groups to revise, update, unify and strengthen their cultural sphere with their Original African intellectual framework across Africa.

Igbos and all other Original Africans that make up Southern and Central Nigeria all share the 256 Odus, even though many are forgotten and incomplete.

Yoruba/Igbo Original African leadership should strengthen these cultural linkages to form a formidable sociopolitical platform that will takeover and restructure Nigeria towards ethnic self determination, then proceed to extend the Original African sphere through restructuring from Benin Republic to Gambia and Cameroon to South Africa.

Ultimately all European borders will be abolished and we will have a superstate between Original African and Afroasian spheres, in which the Original African sphere will counter, relegate and dominate Afro-Asian and Eurasian interests.

So, not only does the Yoruba Original African intellectual foundations provide computer technology and philosophy, it is the key to our economic, political, scientific and technological ascendancy.
